Script Writing
This script is part of a student project for a Sports and Entertainment Marketing course during my Masters in Management Program at DU.
Tincup is a relatively new whiskey brand which sponsored Row 71, a new VIP area within Red Rocks Amphitheater, Colorado's best music venue. Our project was to create a marketing plan for the VIP area's launch using one of the artists scheduled to perform at Red Rocks that season.
We chose to use Cody Jinks, a well-known country music singer, to launch the opening. This is because his fan base aligns with the target audience for the new VIP section as well as with Tincup's target customer (wealthy 40-65 year old country fans who live outside of Denver).
Our main marketing promotion was in the form of a video advertisement. I wrote the script, which is available below.

Red Rocks-Tincup VIP Area Opening with Cody Jinks
[Fade in] Closeup of bald eagle perched on a branch, clear blue sky in background. [Pans out as the eagle takes flight from a tree atop a peak overlooking the Rocky Mountains.]
[Cut to] eagle’s eye perspective as it soars through valleys and over streams. Dusk settles in as the eagle circles over the crowd filled, well lit Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Eagle glides over the crowd, swooping in towards the stage.
[Cut to] empty barstool on stage. Eagle lands on the stool and transforms into Cody Jinks grasping a TinCup branded mug in his hand.
Jinks raises his glass in cheers to the crowd.
[Fade in] TinCup logo along with a Red Rocks URL to the ticketing site.
Music: “Must Be the Whiskey” by Cody Jinks.
“Must be The Whiskey” begins to rise to its peak.
“Must be the Whiskey” rises to its peak as Jinks transforms.
Music cuts out as the crowd chants “MUST BE THE WHISKEY!” in unison.
